Parent Information


WEATHER  

Triple Balance Soccer Academy Recognizes That Their parents know children best. The parent / guardian must make the final decision as to whether their child will play or not in any weather condition.

Extreme Heat

Programs will run Regardless of temperature and / or humidex. During extreme heat coaches will break for additional water breaks. Rain, Thunder and Lightning

RAIN

Programs will run in the rain, UNLESS there are extreme wet conditions.

LIGHTNING AND THUNDER

TBSA will use the "Flash to Bang" method to determine When games and development sessions will be Canceled. With this method the seconds are counted from the time to flash of lightning is seen until a clap of thunder is heard.
When this number is 30 seconds or less, the program is canceled and evacuation of the field will begin immediately. 


If "Flash to Bang" is 30 seconds or less between 5pm and 6:30 pm the 5:15 pm tots program will be canceled. 
If "Flash to Bang" is 30 seconds or less between 5:45 pm and 6:30 pm the 6:00 pm JK / SK games will be canceled. 
If "Flash to Bang" is 30 seconds or less between 6:45 pm and 7:30 pm the 7:00 pm Grades 1/2 and Grades 3-6 games will be canceled. Cancelled programs will be called by the Program Supervisor using an air horn.


Field Safety
Triple Balance Soccer Academy rents fields from the Durham Catholic District School Board who maintains varying degrees of cleanliness and safety.Although we make reasonable efforts to provide a safe environment there is still risk and parents are required to monitor their "non-participating" children while at the facilities. In particular, parents are asked to keep their children away from the goal posts & nets.

PLAYER EQUIPMENT
Shin Pads
Shin pads are mandatory for all TBSA players (covered by socks), and soccer cleats.  

Jewelery
Necklaces, bracelets, and chains must be removed.
Removal of all piercing and body jewelery is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for all players.Referees will not turn away these players with taped piercings, however, if a player wishes to play with jewelery (however concealed) they assume all responsibility and responsibility to the safety of themselves and all other participants as a result of their choice. 

Eyewear
Active Sports Eyewear with a head strap is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED for players who require corrective eyewear. Referees will not turn away players who do not have Active Sports Eyewear, however, if a player wishes to play with glasses they assume all responsibility and responsibility to the safety of themselves and all other participants as a result of their eyewear choice

Clothing
Head coverings may be worn although it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED the fabric of such elastic and tight fitting so as not to become a strangulation and / or tripping hazard. Players wearing head coverings during play assume responsibility and responsibility to the safety of themselves and all other participants as a result of their clothing choice. Game officials will not turn away players who wear head coverings.
Players are required to wear the TBSA uniform provided, however, player's may choose to wear alternate / additional clothing during play as long as the player is clearly identifiable as to which team they belong and their number clearly visible on their back. 


JK-Gr 2 GAME RULES
7 vs 7 ( GK included)
2x20min half, 5min half time
no offsides
no slide tackles
Throw ins
retreat line (opposing players must retreat so defense may bring ball forward unopposed)
players must be at least five (10) yards from the stationary ball

Gr3 - 6 GAME RULES

CANCELLATIONS
Players withdrawing from the program after first night will have refunded program fees less at $ 60 fee.
