GENERAL PRINCIPLES

  • Remember that TBSA is a developmental house league and our goal is to make sure that players of all levels and skills are having FUN
  • Applaud effort and good play as well as success
  • Please promote the emotional and physical well-being of the players ahead of winning
  • Encourage your child to treat other players, coaches, the opposing team, referees, spectators and TBSA staff with respect
  • Know that skill development and practices will benefit your child's growth and enjoyment during games

GAME PLAY

  • Please remain outside the field of play and within the Designated Spectators’ Area
  • It can be confusing when parents give instructions from the sidelines, it's best to let the coach do their job
  • Avoid criticising a player for making a mistake – mistakes are part of learning
  • Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting, or abusive language or behaviour
  • Supporters must not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, or parent
  • Please respect the officials and their authority during games
  • Please wait 24 hours to discuss coaching concerns with TBSA staff/coaches. Time after the game often lends perspective on the issue
  • Please remain at the field during your child's games and practices.
